Experiences with Northwest Registered Agent for Wyoming LLC & Questions about the Optimal Setup

Hello everyone,





I am a European non-US resident planning to form a Wyoming LLC and have already been in contact with the agency Northwest Registered Agent. So far, the company seems reputable, offering formation services including Registered Agent and EIN application, with reasonable costs (formation approx. $143 + EIN $200 for non-US residents). They guarantee anonymity in public records and provide an official business address in Wyoming.





I have the following questions and would appreciate your opinions and experiences:






Is Northwest Registered Agent a reliable and trustworthy agency?
If I have no physical residence in the US and do not live in Wyoming, but provide a trading/business address (e.g., coworking space) in Europe , does that work with Wise and Stripe?
Northwest recommends consulting a tax advisor; however, I only have European clients, no US clients, and no physical operations in the US , is a tax advisor really necessary in this case?
Do you have experience with the annual costs at Northwest? How high are the “hidden” or recurring fees (Registered Agent, annual reports, etc.)?
Are there other agencies or solutions you can recommend that are similarly priced and take privacy seriously?


I look forward to constructive feedback and tips, especially from those with experience using Wyoming LLCs with Wise/Stripe.

How do you plan to pay your taxes in Europe? Have you talked to your tax administration in your village and agreed on how they treat your profits?

Hello and thanks for replying. I’m not planing to pay taxes in Europe. I do not have a residence in Europe. Actually I don’t have a residency at all. In recent years, I have always stayed in one country for about 3-6 months and then traveled further.

3 months may be a bit long. But in this case, you won't need a tax advisor.
 
If you stay longer than 3 months, you are obligated to register with the local authorities

How do you handle that in practice?

I mean, you must have at least one address somewhere to receive mail and all that. You also need to be able to register a car, open a bank account, get a phone number, etc. how do you manage that?

Well, as another OCT user asked, I think you are supposed to fill the details of your current residence address when:

1. You register a company

2. You open a bank/emi account

You use the address of your current homeless shelter or the one of your mother.

Let's say you have a wife in Thailand... Can you use her address to register a LLC or an account in an EMI (supposing the wife has an electric bill to use)?

If you can get an address proof, yes. Most banks accept bank statements as address proof.

I am in the same boat, no fixed address for longer than 1-2 months, no tax resident anywhere.



Banks accept any current address for account opening, most of them are even ok with a hotel address (you don't need to write 'Hotel XXX', you just write your name and the hotel address (street and number). Get a local phone number before heading to the bank. They are getting stricter though, it's not as easy as in the past anymore, but with a bit of legwork you can find one that opens an account even on a tourist visa.



SIM cards are even easier, just a passport and $2, any address is acceptable. Or pay $3 and get one without a passport.



Being a PT you don't own a car, it's like with women - it's cheaper to rent. Most countries don't let you register a car as a non-resident anyway.

If you really wanna buy a vehicle, the common way is to keep it registered to the previous owner (the cops accept it with a purchase agreement without blinking an eye, and you don't need to worry about tickets being sent to you if they don't manage to stop you).



If you really needed a proof of address (for opening of an IB account or similar strict companies, that should also work for the northwest-registered-agent I guess), you could open your bank app, edit your address, and print the bank-statement with your address as pdf file, as daniel27 mentioned above. Everyone accepts that.



For physical mail, there are many mail forwarding services, lots of them offer scan services, so that you can read your mail online without ever holding the physical letters in your hand.

Personally, I haven't needed that, no one sends letters anymore anyway. For stuff from Amazon, TaoBao, Lazada, and physical creditcards you can give the hotel or short term rental address.



Seriously, it's easy. Of course you should keep at least one phone number alive (just top it up from time to time) for SMS verification, but most banks offer many options (verification by SMS/EMAIL/some little electronic gadget or other exotic solutions).

There are quite some people using friend's addresses (or their associate's office addresses) in the US and elsewhere to receive me credit cards and other purchases. They then collect it when time comes.

See above. For the LLC, you may want to use an address of an associate in Africa or somewhere where nobody cares.



SIM? Just use eSIM it buy them locally in the provider shop. Or taobao/fluffy/eBay, they will ship.



That's how I do it / would do it.



But you can trust @cryptofriendly, he has a lot of experience and it does work.
 
Be aware that Northwest Registered Agent is a relatively large company doing business in (almost?) every US state and their approach can feel cookie-cutter. That alone doesn't make them good or bad. I used them briefly in my state (not Wyoming) but found it was not easy to get them to do exactly what I needed. Then I found a local business that provides better service at a reasonable price. If anyone here can recommend a smaller firm in Wyoming that does what you need, you may wish to consider that even if it costs a bit more.
