Heineken Profit Climbs as Cost Savings Offset Weak Beer Sales

Heineken NV, the world’s third- largest brewer, said 2009 profit rose 4 percent as savings from the acquisition of Scottish & Newcastle Plc and price increases helped overcome declining beer sales in the U.S. and Europe.
