Ideas that solve a real or trivial problem using disproportionate intelligence or resources.

Let's start with this:

Problem: bed headboard on same wall as TV.
Normal people: move furniture.
Proposed solution: introduce a micro black hole with controlled Schwarzschild radius to gravitationally lens photons 180 degrees.

Upon reflection, the reality is a bit more complex and my proposed solution has a couple of small issues that make it impractical. But let's see if someone can identify such issues and propose alternatives.
