Can you still buy a car for cash in Germany?

Last time I did that was around 2020. It was quick and convenient.
I will probably never buy again a car in Europe, but I’m curious to know how the EUSSR is doing.
I recently read from a dealer: “Due to the new money laundering guidelines, we can only accept cash for the entire vehicle payment up to a maximum of 9,900 EUR.” 🙁
 
also wondering about this. Cash was king while I live there. Just know from some non-mainstream news that it’s harder to implement the cashless world there compared to some neighbour countries.

Looks like they play the same game as in NL. Make difference between private and company and go lower by allowed amount while inflation is going up. And companies have the task to act as police officer. The gatekeepers. When customer come and ask for cash payment they need to inform authorities else it is a criminal offense for them.

Nl is now 3k, what can you buy with that nowadays? Even a electric bicycle will cost you more, even some non electric lol
