ICard same as LeoPay & Leupay!

From what I’ve just read, it seems that iCard is run by the same people who were behind those scandal-ridden operations like LeuPay and LeoPay, both of which received so many complaints that they eventually had to shut down, as far as I understand.



iCard actually seemed promising when I read various threads here on OCT, but if it’s true that the same people who launched LeoPay (which later became LeuPay) are now behind iCard, I have serious reservations about using it.



Has anyone here had a good experience with iCard?



Is there any way to verify whether it's the same individuals or even the same company? And if so, did they ever resolve the issues for the thousands of customers who got caught up in the mess, or did they just try to walk away from it all by launching iCard and hoping everyone would forget?

They have not disappeared.

They are now iCard AD and are still in service.

I remember when I first came across LeuPay, it looked like a solid multi currency wallet and banking alternative. Everything seemed legit at first. But then they suddenly rebranded to LeoPay, and not long after, things started falling apart. Out of the blue, they began shutting down accounts, especially for non EU users, and promised to return the funds within two months. A lot of people panicked, some never saw their money again, or had to fight for months to get it back.



Later, I found out that all of it, LeuPay, LeoPay, and even iCard, are tied to the same parent company: iCard AD, based in Bulgaria. After LeoPay shut down, users were told to download the iCard app and log in with their old credentials. Their balances, IBANs, and cards were simply moved over to the new platform.



So, iCard basically picked up where LeoPay left off. That connection definitely raised some red flags for me. If the same people were behind those past issues, what guarantees do we have that things will be different this time?



Sure, iCard might have improved, and some people seem to have good experiences with them, but personally, I think it’s important to remember where they came from. If you’re dealing with serious money or depend on stable banking, you should do your homework.



The past doesn’t just disappear with a new logo.
 
iCard, Leo/LeuPay, MyPos and Satabank were/are all part of the same Bulgarian financial group.



iCard existed, if I recall that correctly, well before establishment of Leu/LeoPay and Satabank
