Or: how stupidity and envy run deep in the halls of OffshoreCorpTalk

The Real Reason I Was Banned from OffshoreCorpTalk

Let’s be clear: I wasn’t banned for breaking rules.
I was banned for breaking illusions.
Before the censorship started, OCT staff described me like this:

“One of the most recognized names on our forum… runs businesses in a few different sectors and has quite a bit of experience… Most of [his guidance] is based on research he conducts himself… We’re obviously looking forward to such great news.”
— OCT staff, Nov 27, 2024

Respected. Trusted. Actively contributing. Over 7,000 posts.
Then I posted something they didn’t like — and it all changed.

The Ban That Wasn’t Supposed to Be a Ban

When I was banned, a pop-up said: “7-day suspension.”
That was cute.
No explanation.
No answer to messages.
No review.
No end date.

It’s a permanent ban. The “7-day” part is just laziness — or cowardice.

Meanwhile, the mods kept busy doing what they do best: silently deleting posts and rummaging through users' private messages for fun.

What Did I Actually Do?

Let’s break it down:

1. I Broke No Rule
No spam. No scam. No trolling. I simply posted honest, research-based content. Respectfully.

2. I Posted About the Risks of Nominee Structures
I published a factual thread explaining how nominee setups can legally collapse — and how UBOs can get wiped out if courts ignore side agreements.

That hit too close to home for @JohnLocke, the OCT admin, who pushes those very nominee “solutions.”
Thread deleted.

3. They Silently Edit, Delete, and Mute
No warning. No explanation. Just quiet deletions and thread locks.
Some users have even had their own posts edited — without consent — by mods.
Yes, really.

4. They Banned My Name
Try typing “JohnnyDoe” on OCT. Watch your post disappear. Or your account get flagged.

Not because it’s spam.
Not because it’s offensive.
But because it’s me.

They didn’t just ban the user — they banned the name.
Welcome to damnatio memoriae: the ancient practice of erasing someone from existence.

Then Came the Final Joke

As a parting shot, they added "Working for the IRS" to my profile, changed my username to TurnedToRobot2 and swapped my avatar for a troll.

Because nothing screams “professionalism” like schoolyard mockery.

“A stupid person is one who causes harm to others while gaining nothing himself.”
— Carlo Cipolla

That’s @JohnLocke in one line.
He banned a top contributor (who paid a lifetime membership), mocked him publicly, and gained... absolutely nothing.
Except maybe a few laughs from the mod room.

So I Built Something Better

Their forum silences. Ours speaks freely.
That’s why I launched JohnnyDoe.is – a new forum where intelligence doesn’t get punished.

We don’t delete truth.
We don’t fear stronger voices.
We don’t sell recycled “gold” behind paywalls.

Final Thought

To the guy running OCT: a fake champion of liberalism. Quoting the real John Locke:

“It is one thing to persuade, another to command; one thing to press with arguments, another with penalties.”
— John Locke, 1689

He chose the penalty.
I chose to build.
Thank you @JohnLocke for your stupidity

Yeah pretty wild (that was me).

I did ask a few weeks back, after returning to the site for the first time in months, and was immediately shut down, then by chance perusing messages noticed one that had IRS agent and realized it was you.

Asked a simple question and got hit with the following

"Your thread "Working for the IRS - From USA TurnedToRobot2 was deleted. Reason: It’s already your second thread today with the exact same pattern. You’re not here to contribute anything - you’re just trying to poke the admins and stir up the same drama again."

Which was weird, i then asked one of the other members and they mentioned this site or rather that you had a forum, then came across this post

- No didn't google initially (why would i? people are usually banned for good reason)

Alas seems some issues there for them (competition?) anyway they should read about the streisand effect as their actions made me look into it, otherwise had they just given a reason i wouldn't and i wouldn't have ended up here.

I see (somehow?) you've managed to clone their data?????? - as i couldn't register under my name Wellington ? would appreciate that being combined into this with that as my handle 🙂

Welcome @wellington_n !

Here members are free to post whatever they like, including insults (no banned words), drama, porn etc.
Freedom cannot be limited. If you don’t like a member, you have the option to ignore him, and magically all his posts will disappear from your view.

Nobody will ever be banned. No posts are edited.
Here are the simple rules: Terms and rules
In short: we only ban bots, spammers and doxxers.

In a few minutes your account will be merged with the original @wellington

Enjoy!

The real issue of OffshoreCorpTalk is that it’s a scam (we have extensively exposed it here). And that you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time
anyway they should read about the streisand effect as their actions made me look into it, otherwise had they just given a reason i wouldn't and i wouldn't have ended up here.
@JohnLocke is not that smart.
“They” don’t exist, it’s just him and the dozens of fake users he controls. It’s a one man scam operation.
I see (somehow?) you've managed to clone their data??????
Very easy to scrape OCT, but perfectly useless as the Mentor Group Gold doesn’t contain any kind of useful information. You can read about that here: OffshoreCorpTalk discovers scraping, declares end of Internet freedom!

yeah it was me - somehow i can't access my account anymore after that 🤣
website is working and after login its stuck in loading :bucktooth:
JohnLocke reads all the private messages. Now you have been blacklisted - or "discouraged" per Xenforo's feature.
He will be left alone talking with himself through his 30+ fake accounts :wacky:

btw, if you want to exchange private messages on a forum, use the function only to exchange an external contact, like tg, session etc. I don't read PMs - I don't even know how to do that, a special add-on would be required as it's not included in the standard Xenforo features - but don't trust me and don't trust a web platform.

same thing here... once I login the server doesn't answer anymore and page won't load,
right after I posted something to @JohnLocke and his fake users 😕
welcome to the club! 👍

We should honestly be thanking him… He thinks he hurt us, but he’s only hurting himself. He got us out of a bad habit and forced out of a toxic environment!

I think its shadow ban. A friend told me there are options (maybe as addons) to shadow ban users and "reject all requests", as it seems my case. The server is not responding after login.
I was told it could be either reject all requests or a temporary timeout...

It's Xenforo's "discourage" option, the admin can select it in the control panel. There is no way to bypass it.
I mentioned it here: Johnnydoe.is under attack by OffshoreCorpTalk, the scam forum

oh thank you I missed your other post!

The principle

Discouraging aims to make using the site slow and painful for a problematic user, such that they eventually give up and leave. According to the system configuration, each time a user subject to discouragement attempts to load a page, there is a chance that it will fail to load, a change that it will result in a blank page, a change that it will take a very long time to complete etc.
Discouraged users are not made aware that they are subject to this special treatment.
You may fine-tune the diabolical behavior of the discouragement system using the options at Setup > Options > User discouragement and discipline.
